Valley Center Veterans Banner Project
BANNERS HONORING THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED AND THOSE WHO KEEP US SAFE
A partnership of the Little Arkansas Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Main Street Valley Center, and the City of Valley Center
The Little Arkansas Chapter National Society Daughters of the Revolution, Main Street Valley Center, and the City of Valley Center are proud to offer you the opportunity to honor a veteran or someone currently active in the military while at the same time showcasing Valley Center’s Main Street. Our goal as we begin this project is to have pole banners representing servicemen and women of Valley Center on display on Main Street. We hope to have enough interest in the project to be able to display banners throughout the town of Valley Center. Banners would be on display from May 1 through July 31. After the banner’s term is completed, the banner is retired. Main Street Valley Center will then contact sponsors to give them the retired banner and give sponsors the opportunity to reauthorize a new banner.
2021 Veterans Banner Applications will be accepted through March 8, 2021. Pictures in uniform are required in a high-quality digital format. If you do not have a digital copy, please bring the picture to the Ark Valley News office and we will digitize the photo and return it to you in an appropriate time frame.
The display dates for 2021 will be May 1 through July 31. The application deadline for 2021 is March 8, 2021.
2022 Veterans Banner Applications will be accepted between January 15 and March 30, 2022.
