Amy Stamm’s family moved to Valley Center in May 2004.  Her husband works for the City of Derby and has been on the USD 262 School Board, Valley Center Planning Commission, and is currently on the Valley Center City Council.  Her two children, Kennedy and Kyle, went through the Valley Center school district from Kindergarten through graduation.  Kennedy is a junior at Wichita State University studying to be a Kindergarten teacher.  Kyle is a freshman at Emporia State University studying business.  They moved to Valley Center because her job at Roadway Express transferred her from Salina, KS to Wichita, KS.  After four years there, she moved to her current job as the Administrative Secretary at the First United Methodist Church of Valley Center.  She has served on the Valley Center Public Library Board, the Valley Center Chamber of Commerce Board, the Friends of the Valley Center Public Library Board, and the Main Street Valley Center Board.
